I've always had sound problems with this computer, I posted about the issue around a year ago and I never solved it..rather got used to it.

The problem is that for whatever reason I can only get sound out of my center speaker and subwoofer. The speakers work fine, I was using them on my ipod the other day so I know its something to do with the computer. I just uninstalled the SoundMax HD program and my sound has stopped working. I'm trying to make sense out of the drivers. In the device manager, under sound I have:

Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Video Control Devices

Under other devices I have:
Audio Device On HD Audio Bus
Unknown Device (which im assuming is my onboard sound)

I dont know what to do.

Alrite, I went into my Bios and disabled something called HD audio. Now I only have an unknown device in the system manager.
