MY list starts off with livy how about everyone else. Why would u want to shame someone for that anyway everybody makes mistakes. I guess u were just bored and needed to post something.

I was only jesting with you. ;)

Personally i wouldn't bother naming and shaming anyone.

And how do you judge what is useless, maybe they think they're helping.

There's no point in passing judgement on each other.

That's what mods are for. :)

Should not the mods be passing judgement on the rest of us rather than between each other? :D

IMO:

First of all, consistent offenders of stupid posts and/or posts in wrong sections should be PMed by a MOD and warned, then if they continue, futher action should be taken (e.g. temporary or permanent ban).

MODs should be notified of such users (where appropriate) with evidence (links etc) and then the MOD will make the decision as to whether or not its necessary to warn the offender.

Opinions of other forum users should be kept to yourself unless you think they are affecting the forum in a bad way. If this is the case, a PM to a MOD (as mentioned above) will help the situation, instead of causing more trouble than it's worth with a name-and-shame list :).

I'm all in favour of awarding something( ;) ) to those who insist on posting in the wrong place. There are a few who could regularly appear in the board stats if we had this feature.

Thanks for posting this, l_p_4_7; it's exactly how the Mod team thinks about it. :D

Besides that: we see this thing called Warning Level under each user who posts, which we raise or lower when appropriate, giving us the possibility to keep a list of everything he or she did 'wrong'.
If the level gets too high, and usual after some warnings by PM, we can put him or her on moderation. ;)

Isn't there already a thread for this (Report Anything Unusual Here [part 2] (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=64644)), in which case hasn't this thread now gone full circle? If so, perhaps it should be moved to About our website and this Forum, which is where I believe it started.

Edit: typo

That's a good idea, then we could pick the people who are on the verge of getting a temporary or permanent ban, and try to provoke them into going over the top. <_<

THIS ISN'T SOULSEEK.

I don't know about others, but if I adjust somebody's warning level, they get a PM notifying them of the violation or problem. And unless it's a behavioral incident, I'll lower the level when it is resolved.

I think, biases aside, the mods should give us a rating, a`la Dunn & Bradstreet, or "favored nation" status.

Too much work for them, though.

Also, I fear my ability to raise hackles would result in my being banned.......

Never mind.
