Hello everyone, I have tried both Nero and EZ CD 6 and they both seem to work just fine. The only thing is that EZ CD6 takes up over 360MB of space as opposed to Nero barley 26MB.

Does anyone know what is up with that? Is that the way it should be ... or is is that CD is that much better with many more capabilites?

Has anyone put the two to a test and compared, or is there a site where we can figure out why so big a discrepency?

Any help would be appreciated ... inquiring minds want to know!!!

They are different and as such, have different merits, different uses. They really are not comparable except for their very basic burning abilities.

I think you're comparing apples and oranges here.
I have Roxio and it's only 106MB because I chose not to install a lot of the extra stuff (CD Label Maker, etc.).
On the Nero website they say that the new version is about the same.
26MB seems awfully small, are you sure about that size?

Doesn't really matter.
I use Roxio to make music and data CDs.
Works great.
I don't really care about system resources.

Yeah...it's just preference, wouldn't say either one's better than the other...
I use a combination of Alcohol 120%, ECD/DVDC6, and CloneCD for all my needs.

Is a good probability all he'll be doing mate is backing up a file or burning a variant of audio or video disc, otherwise i very much doubt he'd even be posing this q to a forum of fileshares

Thanks all ... I was just wondering about the difference in resources and what types of differences in use.

It sounds like to me that I neeed to stay with Nero 6 and keep my smiley face on!!!

Thanks for all the input ... and by the way if some one could explain the difference in resources and why ... it would be helpful.

Have a great day ... and stay out of the RIAA's new list huh ;)
