FTN Request - Please read :)

Heya guys, i know i don't have that many posts here but i lost my old account, bloody uni email addy got removed once i graduated :pinch:

Anyhow this is a serious request for FTN. Why do i want this? For the past year i've had a dedicated server, racking up a serious amount of TB. However i've now moved to Edinburgh for additional studies and simply can't afford a server. My flat connection is...abysmal to say the least :lol: I know that FTN is a ratio free tracker, that doesn't mean i can't "Seed till i bleed" however ;) My old laptop is literally never off and constantly runs uTorrent.

For my own and possible invitee privacy i can PM some very good stats. BC with 6.5TB up, 1TB on TL (4 week old account), 1.6TB Scc.

I can provide links to those accounts, answer any questions and simply prove my worth.

I've not read one decent comment from you cabalo. You know yourself the amount of people who get told to come back when they can voice a decent argument.

There was nothing disrespectful in the request so I don't think it should be met by it.

Fact of the matter I've seen a couple other people who I would have bet didn't have a snowball's chance in hell get invites to comparable sites lately so you never know.

If you read my OP you would see that i lost my first account. It was far older, had around 10rep and around 100 posts. I helped out here and there and made a couple of friends on the way.

As for demonoid...i think we both know that unless you scan everything you download, the possibility of a virus is much much greater than any private tracker. My connection isn't extremely bad, for example i can get 1:1 on pretty much anything i download, it just takes a while. (1-2 days minimum for tv shows) Thats why i seed it 24/7. I don't online game so hogging what connection i have is fine.

As for the english native speakers thing, that was completely taken out of context, i go to uni in edinburgh, half of my classmates are not of caucasian descent nor is english their first language. But you have to agree that when you get a request in completely translated english (Not just poor english skills, i mean straight from a translator) it puts a seed of doubt in your mind.

Not because they simply can't speak or write fluent english but rather the problem of communication. For example if you need to help/guide them, it is much harder to do so if the person is not fluent in your language.

Out of interest, do you come to fst to de-rail everyone's requests and comments? If so that's your initiative but i swear i've yet to find a nice or congratulatory post of yours. If you hate this place so much, why waste your time here. Seems a bit stupid to me :P

Not to bash your request or anything, but if you don't get FTN your TB buffer on TL will probably last your whole life anyways, unless you start hit and running.

I am doubtful you will get your request filled, judging by the fact that you're new here and have less than 50 posts. FTN is a site where users just don't throw invites around carelessly. Noone here really knows you well enough yet to take that risk.

now, don't come tell me that TL or IPT wouldn't be enough for your needs. Those are the two easiest places to seed at, even with the shittiest connections, and contents, well... they're the kings of the hill.

All i simply meant was that i got used to the upload speed of dedicated servers. I wasn't asking for an easy way out or a free ride like demonoid. I like private trackers, not simply for the "Level" but for the security involved. I enjoy participating in the small competitions each tracker has and having a laugh around the forums...its just not the same on a public tracker, never mind the dodgyness involved.

Anyhow T.S.O.L is definately talking sense, i'll close this now. I wasn't trying to outsmart anyone by any means. I've helped out and contributed quite a lot, especially to BC. That doesn't mean i can float in and receive any invite i wish, just that i'm not only here for one invite them i'm gone.
