Dell Flat lcd monitor

For some reason the monitor will not go on.I press the power button and it goes on then shuts off..the gren light continues to blink on the monitor but doesnt turn on.I have pwered down and disconnected all power cables and then tried but the same thing.What can id o,is the monitor dead?I have had it for over 4 years.

(If you have one) Have you tried connecting another monitor?

Or tried that monitor on a different PC?

I have tried both and the pc works fine on the other monitor but the lcd monitor still does the same thing

So then we would have to conclude that the monitor is at fault.
Could be a faulty cable or a bad inverter.

Let's hope it's not the inverter, shall we?

Well it was the inverter..dell told me I have to get a new monitor:angry:
