my cap is unlimted but when you go over about 6 gig a day you get shaped to 72k for the rest of teh day

Good luck with adsl mate.
You won't have to worry about the 6 gig/day limit just yet though, the most you can get on 256/64 is about 2.8 gig per day, but that's a damn sight better than what you've got at the moment.
