Greetings..

Any of you know which OCR programs work better for "messy" text. I have been asked to scan in a pile of magazines and dump them to pdf's.
The computer they got for this has a ver of Abby Fine reader on it I forget which ver but it chokes enough that I am willing to try any other options I can find at this moment.

All these magazines are of a technical nature lots of drawings, photos etc and there old 1950's ,1960's etc..

Now all I have to do is get them to realize if they want perfect pdf's its going to take a while longer than they think.. :ph34r:

I have a HP scanner. I use Readiris OCR. It seems to work well.
