What the article doesnt mention is that when she went to use her favorite p2p app on mininova she was only getting 8k so the 40gig pipe wasnt worth anything.

Not sure you read the whole article, or understood the point he was trying to make, PirateEagle.
Unfortunately, the commercial application of existing forefront technology is often quite slow - cost and support are often the culprits.

And fairly useless. Remember, if you're downloading files, your HDD needs to be able to write information just as fast to take advantage of the speed.
It took him a year and a half to read the article...
It doesn't make it less interesting...or impressive.
