For me,the return of demonoid(not a newcomer site by any stretch) was an important victory against anti-piracy orgs and the biggest event of 2008(torrenting wise).
For us Indians that doesn't mean shit but in the wild wild west I guess it has some significance.

It's also worth mentioning the launch of gazelle which might be used in full flow in 2009.

I think the best newcomer site for 2008 would probably be a toss up between tehconnection and GFT. GFT might take the cake considering how much they've achieved in a short span in an almost sellout market of 0-days. PTN and TV-Vault definitely deserve a mention.

Anyway, Movies + Flac sounds pretty pointless for me when for movies we can use like more than 20 trackers and for flac E**** is the best and will always be, don't tell me it's hard to get in bla bla bla, yeah it's hard if you are a fucking collector but pretty easy if you are a flac lover.

well, secret-cinema is exactly the same site as cinema-obscura, with same content and same forum so even if url and staff changed, i think it's not enough to consider the site as a newcomer tracker.

I think that LzTr would also deserve to be nominated. I'm not member there since a while but from what i've noticed, it's a serious tracker with nice and original content.

P*n is the best i know of the list, not a member of the others so i really cannot judge them. That site has a unique rare selection of xvids, Has a great community, helpful staff which are very good responding to any question, a different type of ratio system. I think it is a great site overall. great job DC and staff, Uploaders. :D

tehconnection i hear is a great site also. Just not a member, so i can not confirm which is better. Really do not want to. Most of them are probably good sites to even be nominated. What about(never heard of the first one?)
