I enjoyed it although it's not a "normal" Coen bros. film.

Spotty. All the big names are playing variations of the same dim-witted loser character.
Clooney knows enough not to over-act.Pitt doesn't.
Supposed to be a screwball comedy but tries too hard.

Not bad not great, you won't regret watching it but a year from now you won't remember it either.

I watched it already actually, and your take on it seems to coincide with mine in some ways. I did think it was entertaining and funny in spots, but lacking the usual coen brothers feeling to it. Although it is much better than 95% of the drivel that comes out nowadays.

I'm actually in the process of burning it to DVD now and then I'm going to watch it. The trailers seemed humorous enough... I'm looking forward to it. :)

It's a movie that you gotta think about before you give it a final grade. All in all it wasn't too bad. I give it a B.

its a long smelly overchewed gym sock of a movie.
it had no soul, felt like the brothers were going thorough the motions with this one, it made no real statement.

It was entertaining. Definitely not up there with other Coen movies but I enjoyed it.

I really find the title quite adequate ... but i would like it more "Burn after Watching" .. a wash of time.

One of those movies that have a trailer better than the movie itself ...

So youre saying that Raising Arizona, Millers Crossing, Barton Fink, The Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou and The Man Who Wasn't There are overrated movies?

Please.

It was amusing, didn't really have anything to say though. I don't regret seeing it but I haven't recommended it to anyone I know.

Honestly, i stopped watching about halfway through. The same thing happened while i was watching Tropic Thunder...and i went into both movies very excited and thinking i was going to love them. It's not that it was awful...it just never really grabbed me or sucked me in...maybe i just wasnt feeling the "screwball" style comedy of it. I'll try to give it a full viewing in the future.

The worst Cohen's movie

I have never liked any of the Coen brothers movies exept for "No Country For Old Man" which i did not even know they made until later (so i guess that explains some things), Anyways The Big Lebowski are even worst, i just hate Jeff Bridges, watched a new one called "the wrestler" kinda good but he's so damn booooooring, i just cant stand him and why is he even famous? Anyways i'm waaayyy to ot now so i guess i quit while i can. bye bye. Btw - This movie is ok i guess but the rating is way to high. should have like 5 in my opinion. Watch it if u liked "The Big Lebowski" i say.

Erm...Jeff Bridges isn't in The Wrestler- that would be Mickey Roarke.

I suspect that had Roarke portrayed the Dude, there would be less "abiding" and more "abrading".
And harder drugs, of course.

Thats just it though...this movie feels more improvised (especially with Mr Malkovich on set) than anything and i can really sense George and Brad giggling like little girls (possibly even high-5-ing!!) as they added their "touches" to certain scenes.

It is by far the worst movie the coens have made but i wouldnt necessarily put all the blame onto them.

Jeff Bridges wasn't he the one in that sitcom with Gary Coleman?

And didn't Mr. Roarke just die?
Oh well at least he won't be making any more of those shitty Coen movies.

Sorry it might have been Beau Bridges. I always get the two confused.

Maybe it was London Bridges.
