It's may not be as thoughtful as Eastwood recent work but it's a real crowd pleaser isn't it?
I thought early on on the movie it became apparent how it was going to turn out but that didn't diminish my enjoyment of the movie especially Eastwood's performance.(Hard to believe that the role wasn't written for him.There aren't to many senior citizens that could make you believe they could kick gangster butt).

Good movie peat maybe in my top five for the year but Number 1 is still Slumdog Millionaire .

A lot Eastwood movies seem to have a theme of redemption to them.He also seems to like to ( in one way or another) play the martyr.

Like I said it's more of a straight action film than what Eastwood has been doing lately but I thought it was rather the other way around.

The whole cast is great , from the snotty grandkids to the Asian grandma . Just the way the grown sons interact with the old man is worth a look .

the ending was different, i expecting revenge.

every other word was a curse word and i fucking loved it. clint played a perfect role. there wasn't anything i didn't like about this film minus the ending, but then again he's 79 years old so c'mon... 10/10

Well you can look at it that way, but it teaches you that racism is ignorance, he didn't know nothing about that group of people and he hated them, but when ge got to know them, everything changed in his life and his way of thinking. So we are never to old to change.

It's Gran Torino, dammit.

I've already seen Million Dollar Baby, not sure why Eastwood felt compelled to replay the same character.
As with all recent projects of his, GT is handsomely mounted and well acted but I found it predictable and rather pedestrian.

It's not that I was hoping for a rebirth of full-bore Dirty Harry Eastwood, but he seems to have found a comfortable archetype to recycle and I think it does neither he nor the audience any favors.


Clint's death pose was a bit over the top obvious and pandering too.
Yeah, we get it, you sacrificed yourself for others...

Like said befor "this movie is very dramatic and funny", i liked it alot. Must admit i were almost laughing myself to death in some scenes. And indeed it was also really dramatic. 10/10 in my opinion, it is a must see for everyone.
