I have a RPS from seedplace.eu withUbuntu8.04, running utorrent 1.81.
I setup the webui and it works find from my PC but for some reason it wont work on my laptop. On both computers im running the same version of Firefox 3.05.
I know there were some problems with firefox 3, i ran a google search and found a better version of webui.zip by computerwolf which seemed to fix the issue for everyone but me.
I tried many many times, tried changing ports, reinstalling utorrent on by box but i still cant get it to work on my laptop. I get the login in screen, put in my user and pass but it just either does nothing, or gets stuck in "loading" status. I even tried a really cool firefox extension for webui but I still can't seem to fix it.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

Have you tried to access webui through IE? :)

honestly no, from what i recall IE doesnt support it.
I did try Google Chrome though and had the same problem.

delete the webui cookie on your laptop and try again.

Make sure adblock and noscript are off in Firefox, I was stuck at the "loading" screen as well till I noticed that :P

Try changing the port on your uTorrent webUI settings, i'm not sure if that'll help you but it does the job for me. If it's say 4401 try changing it to 4402, for example.

Oops, accidently skimmed through that part. By any chance are you using some different OS (assuming your using windows, cracked OS's like TinyXP, BlackXP etc.)? Many of these disable core services that are required. If it works on your normal computer than for sure it's a software issue, if worse comes to worse why not trying formatting?

P.S. I use adblock and it doesn't affect my webUI, maybe noscript is though. To disable go to tools -->add ons.

hmm thanks.
i dont have either on.
my laptop is running a legal version of vista home edition (the one that comes with dell 1525),the strange thing is that it works sometimes, like now it working again but im afraid its a matter of time cuz it usually works for a few hours every 2-3 days...very strange.

*EDIT: I spoke to soon and now im down again...

Hmm, the fact it works sometimes is weird. Can you try loading up in safe mode (make sure you add networking, or you won't have access to net) and see how it goes?
