:) Ok I got my new Burner today(without the Marker  ) and it came with Nero Express. What I am wanting to know is this good software for making DATA CDs.....as everybody knows all I do is MP3 DATA.

I was useing Easy CD Creator Platinum 5 before.....been a couple of years since I used NERO...and it worked fine for making DATA CDs.

But after Playing with this Software the Nero Expess is not bad in my opinion.I do Disc at once/finalize CD and checked the 2 CDRs I made so far with NERO CD Speed with the CD Quality Check feature it has and neither one had C1 Errors or C2.

Just asking what others think of this Program.Because they say Nero Express was made for beginners but I see nothing wrong with it.

nero is a fantastic burning program FC. i only ever tested a few other's but did not really like them so i came back to nero.

there are plenty of extras included with the program that make it extremly powerful.

Nero express is just a wizzard GUI in nero. If you close express, you'll see a lot more of the pogram and options. Or expand the start menu and choose nero instead of express to open it.

 If you have express, you should have it all.

If not, download nero ultra from dredwerkz or ttdown. It burns great, some stuff that cremator won't even do.

Will uninstall the Nero Express I got with Burner and install this NERO 6.....if anything I will have NERO Express 6 now(which I do like the interface).

;) Hmmmm....I don't know.Reading alot about BUGs with NERO 6.I might just have to be a sissy/NOOB and stick with Nero Express.

I don't use Nero, because it makes more coasters than ECDC due to its lack of burn speed throttling.

Does anyone know if Nero 6 has burn speed throttling like ECDC?

FC,

If you were getting good results with Roxio, why change?

I've used EZCD for both data and music CDs and have yet to burn a bad CD.

i think nero and nero express are really the same program it is just that they have different gui's. the underlying core of the program is exactly the same for both.

still i have never really burned a bad cd in nero especially if you slow your burner down abit to say x8

 Why........the 52x is there for a reason?I know you have to slow it down for Audio...but not DATA...the ones I made so far not a scratch or any C1 or C2 Errors.

Nero 5 (maybe not 6, I don't know) is faster and offers more options than ECDC, but is more prone to making coasters.

ECDC is bomb-proof... never made a coaster with it yet, and a lot simpler to use; however it offers less advanced options.

Just wanted to pip-in here (sorry if it is late!)

If you get Nero budled with a writer and it has an OEM serial, it will only give you Nero Express, the cut down version - it denies you access to the rest. It is stupid and frustrating!

With the full version of Nero, you can switch between the full version and Express - but the button does nothing when you have the OEM version. If you were to download and install a demo version of Nero 5.5, it would give you full functionality. But the moment you enter an OEM serial, Nero gets a lobotomy! If you get a retail serial and choose to 're-enter' the serial, Nero propert comes back...
