LOL Thats great. I was thinking of doing something like this myself. True Story, but I figured it wouldn't be worth it as far as time and the wood would hold the heat in too much or be too loud with the the fans that would be needed. Still it looks snazzy though
When I was looking I was trying to do something like these

Or the one I "wood" have went with

I found alot of them here (http://www.casearts.com/wood.html) I wouldn't pay for one of course but they are great ideas to any who would want to try ;)

i think the last one of your pics is probably the best looking, but i know what you mean it would be very tedious.

I think the 1st one is the best looking but not practical. The third you could prob re-face an old case to look like it's all out of wood ;)

These two were made by a young student of Japanese joinery...they were basically exercises in learning the techniques of the various joints perfected by ancient craftsmen.
He has full worklogs on Bit-tech.

So you are the mayor of MOD town aren't you? I first read the words as Jointery, True Story. If it were jointery though he would have gotten hungry and this would have happened

That looks like a terrible idea.
Lots of zinc used in the finish of old steel cases.
