well, i think i got through the configuration ok, but i didn't know what to put for proxy stuff. But then i got into the program and tried a search (i think) then the prog crashed with some crazy error messages.

www.kleverig.nl is what you are looking for...it's the best so far for usenet XXX, there use to be a really good one back in the day but it shut down due to some issues.

I just download headers at 200 Mbps. Then I don't have to depend on a website.

- some content is uploaded to HUGE groups. Be my guest to download hundreds millions of headers and looking through them
- downloading headers doesnt show you what is inside archives like mysterbin does for instance
- you'll never get pass protected releases that sometimes are real gems.

No doubt but, going to a sites like those is just advertising what you download. You have no idea if they're a front for one of the 'AA's or if they'll release their user lists when they get leaning on. For me, the primary benefit of Usenet is, nobody knows what I'm doing. Downloading headers is a bit less convenient but, I don't mind. The software does it automatically every 15 minutes and my machine can load these massive groups with ease.

It's just a hobby, if I miss something, it's not the end of the world.

How do you download binaries using just headers? I have only ever used nzb files. Trying to grab a few files off http://www.kleverig.nl.
