I had a look for you on some of my sites but couldn't find much, I usually just use youtube for my fix of wacky Jap games shows.

If you know the name of the shows then it might be helpful for finding what your looking for.

There must be Japanese trackers out there but the language barrier is definetly going to be a problem

Maybe Japanese people watch their TV on TV for free.

You can't find that kinda stuff anywhere. Except on Japanese trackers I would think.

Anyway, I went through all categories on BitmeTV and got nothing.

it's strange. although the japanese have by far the best and cheapest internet speeds in the whole world, bittorrent doesn't seem to be very popular over there.

I wouldn't go that far. I think (from what I've heard) that the prices are even lower in Romania.

because piracy is a heavy violation in japan, they don't use bt but another way to share things

Japan led all countries surveyed in price per megabit per second at $3.09 equivalent US dollars. France followed at $3.7, Italy at 4.6, the UK at 5.3, and Korea at about $6 per Mb/sec. The US was 11th at $12.6 per Mb/second. Greece, Mexico, and Turkey topped all countries in price per megabit, with Turkey at $97.4 per megabit/second.

Japan leads the world with the fastest and lowest unit cost for broadband, according to recent data from the OECD. Japan enjoys costs per megabit per second over four times lower than that of the US.

BTW, I should mention a program called KeyHoleTV (google). It allows you to stream the most popular japanese tv stations live. Sure it's streaming quality but this way you can see what REAL Japanese tv is like.

You're not going to see these shows such as Ninja Warrior etc, they are very rare/limited... general Japanese tv is very bad and boring :P

I was just proven ignorant. Thanks for the info. Allthough it's offtopic, it's always nice to learn some stuff (especially if you thought you knew everything about it already).
