A huge portion of the material is originally ripped for the site by true genre fans whose extensive film collection is something to behold. Better still, there are a ton of custom fansubs there for movies that have never before existed in English.

The only complaints I've ever seen and can understand are about the staff. And really, unless you're a moron who tries to do something like upload an IMDB Top 250 film, then they don't tend to be dicks towards you, allowing you to watch them taunt the n00bs instead.

I'm on most of the big ones (SCT, TL, HDBits, Waffles etc) but my favorite would have to be BitMeTV followed by What.CD

Even though both trackers are specialized, they cover TV + music as well as you can imagine (Waffles is comparable to What but the user difference of 80k to 35k is really starting to show)

*TS is my favourite at the minute, it's from what I've seen a small friendly and helpful community, the site only has around 1800 torrents but what it lacks in quantity it makes up for it in quality with a wide variety and plenty of interesting files that I've not seen on other general trackers.

In addition to this anyone with a minimum 50kbps upstream can upload, fill requests & make offers which all earns you extra karma points that you can spend in the usual ways.

It delivers decent speeds even with a low number of seeders, one problem I've found especially with a home connection is that it's difficult to seedback to 1:1 most of the time, just as well that doesn't really matter becasue its ratio free all is cool as long as you seed for 72 hours.

It's also my fav at the minute because especially with the Trojan Fight Club stylesheet It's just the best damn well lookin well designed site I've had the privilege of being a member off.

If only it had the U*-* casino thing where you can spend your bonus points I'd be in heaven.

PTN sort of has this going on with it's gamble with other users your upload MB's on Blackjack but they need another few games in there to make it like a proper little in house casino, also it would have been much better to be able to gamble with the gold you earn instead of MB's but hey you can't have everything can you.

It's an awesome idea, I suggested implementing video poker as the next game on the forums there ages ago but there wasn't a lot of interest.

If they can code blackjack they can code 1 draw video poker for two players in exactly the same way as the blackjack plays, each player get's 5 cards, you mark the ones you want to keep if any then hit draw to get your new cards and see who has the best hand :)

I would imagine single player roulette would be easy to do as well :p

Yeah me too, 100gb upload only costs 8000 gold so you'd be ok for a while, You'd definetly find a way to feed your habit, most obviously would be uploading / seeding more torrents which benefits the sites and it's users.

We're definetly onto something here this really deserves it's own thread. , obviously your win / lose amount record would be compiled into a table so you could compare yourself against friends for fun or go for that full scale assault on the top of the table compete for some kind of Casino King title !

They had tons of contests for x-mass and still plan to have more, you get free leech tokens for just participating. They had this one contest where you make your own funspace page. The winner got 50 gigs uploads, a free invite, an a title to his/her name. The setup was really easy and i enjoyed it. This is the first time participating in a contest on a torrent site. They are usualy really lame or very time consuming. I tried to compete in all of them. There layout is far better then any other site i have used. They have very friendly admins. They also have the share index, so as long as u just seed you good to go. That was just to name a few of the things i like.

Ok sounds like a similar setup to GFT with dedicated servers pumping out files for everyone makes a refreshing change to see 2 or 3 seeds saturating your connection, well if you do hear anything about donating to join give me a shout. The smaller sites with fewer torrents and fewer users are just getting better and better these days

Yeah they've got this going on at PTN too in the forum but threads have been inactive now for ages was proper good fun at the time though, I don't think I can join SweDVD because of my non-nordic IP.

Its a small site, they have to make money some how. Rather then give invites out to everyone to invite a bunch of traders or collectors they do it a different way. This way at least you know most of the people their are reputable.

FSC doesnt give invites on donation....other sites do. Some even sell invites...FSC doesnt.

FSC's donation bar is the lowest I know of.


If anything you should be a little more suspicious of those sites that are 2000e donations per month...bc I hate to rain on the parade...a server to run a torrent site is not that expensive :whistling:whistling:whistling

Ok it is not freeleech, but our SP system nearly is.

and when its back up and running soon, all recycled torrents will be download free, and if we can code it, which is only a 5% chance, all torrents downloaded in their first 6 hours of life, will be download free as well.

Download free is exactly the same as the bonus month during Christmas and new year.

We are also trying to get rid of ratio for promotions as well, but again taking time to work out finer details and coding the thing.

Torrents last for years, because members are not scared to download old torrents, I am seeding torrents that have been on the tracker for over 300 days, so are way down browse, and i am still uploading on them.

OK if you are a prick and all you do is the min to not get banned, whatever, fine, but you wont get any benefits at all, but someone is always download a torrent somewhere, hence why we have torrents, that have 100 seeders and they have been on the tracker for over 2 years (albeit recycled once or twice in that time).

Its an ingenious system, you should read up on it sometime, instead of just getting reviews for this place.

The staff dont seed any of them, only ones they have downloaded.

its the members/community that seed 99.9999% of them, I only have 26 torrents seeding, and those are the ones i downloaded on the tracker, I have only uploaded 4 torrents in over a year.

You can download any torrent on the the tracker and as long as you seed it, you get a 1 ratio on that torrent, even if no leechers turn up ever.

The 20:1 seeder leecher ratio stops members limiting thier upload.

lets say i download a 4 gig game that is 2 years old.

I download it in 3 hours, no leech shows up for a bit, so i seed it for 72 hours, i then start to get SP on it, a leech shows up but i am limiting my upload to 1KBs, well if by that time i am the only seed, that leecher will take ages to download it. so i may as well seed the ehing at my max capacity, then i can start gaining SP again.

But if i upload 3 gig of that 4 gig torrent, when SP comes back into play, i just need 10 SP points, so 10 hours, not 40 SP points = 40 hours of extra seeding.

Now you have a 1 ratio on that torrent, so no hit and run, but if you have a 2 global ratio, to keep the 2 global ratio you have to seed that torrent to 2, so ppl will keep seeding it.

others just like the game that much, they believe that if they stop seeding it, it will disapear from the tracker forever, so they keep seeding it till the cows come home, and someone will always want it.

The more seeders that gets into the torrent, the lesser time you'll need to be seeding the torrent to get to a ratio of 1 since the SP will be much more compared to one with lesser seeders so don't limit your upload just because the SP system will save you.
