I'm not sure if this is in the right section of the forum but it seems alright.

When requesting or replying for an invite to a tracker in "BitTorrent Invite Giveaways And Requests", most users require you to provide some proof of your connection speed. But what if I only use a seedbox? How can I prove that its speeds are above requirements? And how can I prove that the seedbox is actually mine?

(should this go in the seedbox section?)

From what I've seen people will most likely believe you straight away. If for some reason they don't believe you, I would ask in the thread for permission to PM, and then do a speedtest on a server of their choice, proving that it's legitimate.

how do I do a speedtest with a seedbox server?

you log into your server (vnc,nx,logmein, putty)
go to www.speedtest.net and run the test

download flashplayer and thats all

i'm rather confused because I have no idea how i would go about doing that. The only program you listed that I "know" how to use is LogMeIn but how do I access a remote server?

Is it a shared box or a dedicated box? I mean do you have access to only the webui and/or VNC. Or do you have complete access to the box?

If you don't have access to the dedicated server itself(only have access to seedbox) then I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to do that.

You can always take the screenshot in PNG format to make it clearer and show him the best speeds of the torrents currently on your seedbox.

I don't think its dedicated and I'm also sharing it with someone else who is the admin of our seedbox. Thanks for your help. I think im going to go with the screenshot option.

Alright, good luck with it.

I wonder if your admin does bandwidth shaping for you.

To be honest, my real speeds are a bit pathetic when it comes to it. Which is the reason why I'm using a seedbox. I'm just afraid ill be more subject to rejection when I mention my actual speeds.
