Is there anything out there that can search multiple torrent sites at once? For example, looking for an album, it would search what, waffles, tl, sct etc.

I know of btjunkie, but when I searched for a popular film, the only sites it gave me were pretome, piratebay and a couple of others that I hadn't heard of.

The fact that it returned results from pretome means it must be possible to create (if it isn't already available).

I don't know any program which would solve the multiple search problem at private sites (at least not what I would trust), but I can strongly recommend this firefox addon (http://oinkplus.blogspot.com/) , if you haven't already got it, its an absolute must with those sites you mentioned (what, waffles, etc) if you are looking for music

hey, i have a scoop for you

there's a multi-tracker search built in a french bt-related forum and at my knowledge, it's the only one existing on the net.
you just have to type your search, to tick the trackers you need to search in and then > Go!

here is a screen (some trackers miss):

ps: the forum i'm talking about is private and french-only so don't pm me asking an invitation or the url.

I'm not seeing a "select all sites" or "all sites in this category" tickbox which could get a bit annoying. It's got loads of potential if it works properly though, would be nice to seem something like that here.

A couple years ago or so I recall there being one that searched 3 private sites, one of them being RevTT. That's how I found the site, actually.

Actually If you click on a title it ticks every trackers in the category.

Once you click go it opens a popup for every tracker you selected with an url of this type : http://tracker/search.php?the_word_you_enter (http://sometracker.com/search.php?the_word_you_enter) or another type following the type of search of the tracker. Thanks to this system almost every tracker can be add to this site except for special search system like tvt.com

I've just completed a Private Tracker Metasearch (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/40545) Greasemonkey script that searches multiple sites for public use.

After you install the script: Go to http://www.berrypi.com/search.htm

Those of you who are members of What probably have seen my work before can find more details about this script here: http://what.cd/forums.php?action=viewthread&threadid=34266#post600468

Let me know what you think. :)

Your getting there but my first few tests for ScT failed, try search for "Igor"

Edit: Try searching for "the culture show" on your page & keep an eye on the result for TPB, then try searching for it on The Pirate Bay

Edit 2: It doesn't seem to work for BT Music either with FF & Vista 64 it just hangs amber "search in progress" & also throws an "invalid security certificate" error

Software Development Life Cycle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_development_process enjoy :)

I've updated the search strings for both BTMusic and ScT. Hopefully it should work in the latest version.

I'm not sure what you mean by the TPB error.

Cool seems to be working ok now for all 3 sites mentioned. What about a select all / select none checkbox and one for all in this category, get all the sites you can added into it, make it look a bit nicer (like the colour scheme though) and you could be onto a winner :)

Edit: Can you make it work with search operators such as file+sharing+talk or "filesharing talk" it seems to remove them before returning the results

torrents.to for public tracker searches. it is quite nice but far from perfect.

for private bt sites searching on racer channels is probably the best way to go about it but that is irc not http.

If a site was made to copy paste stuffs every 5 minutes from the IRC onto it, would it be CPU resourceful? I would love for something like that to happen too.
