Though many of these sites are the websites of subbing groups. You will not find all shows you're searching for on these, but if you know which group you want to download from, it is often a good option to download from their tracker.

To find specific subbing groups for your anime, check out www.anidb.net

If you're looking for old anime, boxtorrents should do the trick.

If you're looking for anything recent, try
http://www.baka-updates.com/releases.php
And search for the anime to find all the fansub groups that are subbing it. Then just download through baka-updates or head to the individual fansub group you want it from and download it from their website.
