PTN Account Disabled

Got home from work yesterday to find my PTN account disabled, disappointing to say the least :(

I don't cheat, trade, giveaway in public or get upto any other tard like behavior that breaks the tracker rules so I'm slightly confused as to whats went wrong and I've only sent one invite to an E-Friend since I joined the site back when it opened it's doors.

The way I see it there is two possible scenarios:

Disabled for inactivity - possibly as I don't download much from there these days but I have and still am seeding 20 files.

Someone in the invite tree has screwed up and got everyone thrown out but as far as I'm aware there's only 3 of us and that was only the person who invited me, myself and the one person I invited.

If there's any staff hovering about it would be appreciated if they could tell me who has f*cked up and what they have done so I can give them a virtual slap.

obviously if the person who I invited has caused this I do not expect my account to be re-enabled.

And you couldn't have asked this in the irc.support channel?? You would have a better chance of getting re-enabled that way. Trust me...The PTN staff is probably the most fair staff along with TTi, but I doubt they like to slove problems in FST just because you were lazy to find out the support channel.

searched for ages for the support channel in google and have been sittin in #ptn like a dumbass with no response.

Hmmmm possibly but I know the person through the Internet Chess Club so it's unlikely.

They signed up straight away but never downloaded anything on the account for the first 5 days so I sent them a reminder to start using it otherwise he'd probably lose it anyway he responded next day and normal activity on his account started. Kept checking it over the following week and never noticed anything untoward

It's possible you got disabled for not being active enough. They also watch your forum activity at PTN, for instance.

Had about 50 posts in the early days and used to upload DVD-R's there before they got rid of the DVD-R category from the browse page, joined in with the gambling threads, gave suggestions, played blackjack loads.

I was offline for a few months there and have only been back online for a few weeks so I would have expected my account to have been disabled back then if it was for inactivity, as I said earlier I'm still seeding files most of which I'm the original uploader and only remaining seeder so my money is on the person I invited or the person who invited me doing something tardish :)

^Time-Travaler, then there is no other explanation......You were disabled for being a bad gambler in blackjack. They got tired of loaning you money, so they just clipped mafia style..:pinch::lol:

@AniStoned. There is no reason for me to "bootlick" him. He doesn't have any invites that i need. You might want to try your charm on him though,(i heard he has fsc invites, and some nice "community" trackers. Just what you're into).
And about the genius thing.. I couldn't think of it first, so it seemed "genius" at the moment. But of course i was exaggerating. If you had a sense f humor you'd understand...lighten up a little

The same thing happened to me today to me when I wanted to connect on PTN I se noticed that me account disabed are a few members of staff on irc and they said why login from multiple IP i explained that i don't nave dynamic IP
told me come back tomorrow

K I've got a dynamic IP and changed ISP about 2 weeks ago so maybe thats the problem.

@Albo I've obviously been sitting on the wrong irc server, is a hot link to ptn.support against the rules ?

Edit: Ok to fill you in on what happened it would appear as though my inviter has taken to selling invites and our entire invite tree has been disabled.

long story short my account is gone because I can't prove my invite was given to me and not sold as I met the person who invited me on a live chess server and chat logs aren't stored by default.

Oh well I'll miss my time at PTN it was a nice little place to hang out :)
