Try limiting your download speed by 25% and see if the upload speeds get any better.

which OS are you running ?

Yep i've come to realise that the OS changes the speeds significantly. In a gbit box the bottleneck will be the hardrive, are you running a RAID setup?

i would recommend a switch to a linux distro, perhaps ubuntu or debian, there are plenty of guides you can follow taht will get you setup in no time

that's wrong, if you know how to configure a 2003 server correctly.
ok, let's tweak your client, and windows.
it's a lengthy process and right now i haven't much time
but do this for starters:

www.lvllord.de
run the patch and increase the number of connections to 10000.
close it.

now. what bt client are you using ?

opinions do vary mate.. Hosting ie peering with Scandinavian peers and US is much better than ovh.. They allow more than 100mbps to non hosting ie but ovh gives to only ovh .. So every hosts has bit of +- ..

Plus -> Genuine Unmetered till atleast 20-30TB
-> Decent Routing to other hosts
-> Stable H/w

Negative -> setup fees on all boxes
-> Relatively poor cust service
-> expensive reinstalls

To get good speed with windows i think deluge is the way to go.
I can garanti that you will get mutch better speed with linux.

I see people on sct that have hosting-ie gbit and rtorrent running and hits about 30-50 MB/s up and down.

And you need raid to get good speed on all servers.

What is the problem? I would really try to figure out what you did wrong on that. rTorrent is in my opinion, the best bt client around, and you will understand what I mean if you use that over kTorrent. I also use and recommend wTorrent with it as the webui, it makes it so much easier, and less prone to operator error than entering commands in the terminal box by a noob who doesn't really know rTorrent or Linux. Very light on resources and extremely fast and stable. Good luck, but seriously you should really try to get rTorrent going. Another advantage is that rTorrent is native Linux and runs a lot better than jacking around with wine and uTorrent in a Linux environment.
