Ok after me posting in the forum asking why bitsoup love to keep reannouncing things that are already printed on the index anyway i get banned from the site instead of them coming into the forum and posting the reason why they are doing it . it was about winning a wii by donating to the site . i love sites like that who cant come out of there shell and give there members some answers .

Actually the admins have come in to discuss it, you just can't see it obviously since they banned you. A bit harsh on their part I think, but seriously... you should've just dealt with it rather than ranting. They can do whatever they want on their site, it's not that hard to make a couple clicks once a week.

when you post comments on torrents or in the forum the mods see you, check your profile and warning history, then decide if you deserve a warning or not, he might have been warned a few times before for example.

Its simple, he has no record of being a worthy user there as you say only a member a week, so has no importance or status yet, also he has no right to criticize the way they run the place in their eyes.

It's a simple matter of when a new announcement gets released and you happen to be on the frontpage, where the text is placed as well, only then and only until you remove the announcement...you see it twice.

Since the front page is certainly not the most used page of the site, and the announcement comes only 1x a week, it's simply not any bit of a big deal. Even moreso if you add the fact that with the exception of the news section, all messages come equipped with a link for easy deleting.

Those msg's are all we have to go on to keep Bitsoup online. The alternative would be giving in to all those eager advertisers that email me about weekly and want me to go decorate Bitsoup with flashy banners and other adverts of all the products and services they would like you to know, use and sign up for.

I'm sure some will disagree, but personally I much rather stick at sending out that 1 weekly message, and I much rather give away a Wii to 1 of you, then shafting all of you with having to look at the next "pay to watch boobs here" service every time you get here.

I think there's other ways to detect someone besides the IP range ban. I think even if you change your Ip address, you can be detected by the hostname. Not sure though.

I don't think the trackers will use such hardware resource intensive checks even if there was a way to do that.

Let's think, if you are a staff of a certain tracker and had 60,000 members.
And usually there will be 20,000 of them browsing the site, do you think you will let your poor servers take so much information from each and every one of them?

To be honest I am a member there for 6 months and the site is very good,for me at least it is one of the best private trackers,you have great collection of old and new movies and the speed allways is very good....and what is most important for private tracker(again for me)there are many users there so keeping good ratio is not a problem.

lol ok this has gone from me being banned to the site staff thinking a ip ban would be any use when banning me (ip ban system is nothing bitsoup staff btw) and now to all that above lol as for the person saying i was stupid to even post in the forum complaining about the tracker when i was a new user . whats wrong in posting and asking a question ? i could of been very bad and actually done other things but asking a question in the forum isnt a bad thing and all they needed to do was answer it and let me reply with my thoughts after they replyed but no they go to a childish level and act like "gods" and ban me without letting me reply back. as for the person posting saying the announcements just keep coming back even though you have cleared it (once cleared the same annoncements shouldnt show again) . they are just repeating the announcements aka plastering the same message when yes we have read it how many times lol like i said i dont need the site and never will return to it (ip ban doesnt stop me btw bitsoup) ive got my sites that i use and they dont make users feel like they cant stand up and say anything.

With all your respects, if anyone comes to my house and starts criticizing the way my house is, I would throw that person out, no questions ask or answeered lol, expecially if I am helping that person out in any way, that would end right there.

Believe it or not Cinephilia has more common sense and logic than most members roaming in here. The reason why he insults is because he sees those who try to slither their way into getting what they want by lying, cheating, sucking up...meaning by breaking all the unwritten rules.
That kind of stuff gets me pissed of also, so I wouldn't blame him for insulting mostof those type of users in here.
I don't see a reason why he should be banned at all. Unless putting up a good debate is the wrong thing to do.
