The design is freakin... UGLY!
Its sad how people spend their money on server cost, and domains and stuff like that, and then make something ugly/bad..

Just join some of the existing trackers instead! But hey, the Internet is all about how big your e-penis is..

Anyways, IMO you fails totally :)

Why do these "new" torrent sites all seem to have there servers hosted in America by American hosting companies? What part of its not safe dont they understand or dont they care?

nothing is ever said no matter who or where hosts you. if all you guys are going to do is put new torrent sites trying to build up a community and is doing well, then your not giving any new trackers much apprecitae for joing the comunity are you. oh well i thought maybe some peeps might like it but obvoulsy they do not. never mind. others out there appreciate my hours. thts all that counts

stoi

so why not try malaysia or holland then if it does not matter where you host.

silly boy.

well considering i had no knowledge on coding or trackers till 1 year ago, i have leanred by myself, never had much help. instead peeps just putting me down. i chose my provider as they seemd really secure and reliable and at that they are, iv never had any problems with them yet... putting peeps down is not much of a way of help is it... i will look into that later, as i said i dont have help of others to guide me on where to find SAFE hosts.

stoi

Erm... it sounds to me that you have almost zero experience with coding, running a tracker, common sense, etc. I don't have any experience running a tracker, and I have no clue how to program; but I like to think that I have some common sense.

1) From everyone that I've talked to, you shouldn't expect member donations to keep your site alive. You yourself (or whoever the SysOp is) should be able to keep the site afloat for at least a year. This shows members that the site plans on staying there, and so they may wish to donate.

2) You said you have little coding experience and whatnot, so why not find someone who actually does? Surely it will result in a better tracker, in both function and design. If you're still learning quite a lot, then why not hold off on creating a tracker until you're better able to make a better one? If your tracker is nothing more than a place to download files, then what makes it any better than any of the already-established trackers? I already know that those are stable, fast, etc; so why would I want to join yours?

3) Don't host it in the US. That's probably the WORST place on Earth that you could decide to host a site. The US is a country that actively seeks out filesharers. Your host will most likely bend immediately to an order from the RIAA/MPAA, and they will shut you down. As stoi said, you don't hear of anybody hosting in the US getting taken down, because, well, nobody hosts there!

But anyways, this is just what I think... If I were you, I would reconsider many of the choice that you've made :p

I aint putting any one down I was asking a legitimate question.

As a site owner myself I know that hosting is an important part of the sites future and having your server hosted in America is not the way forward for any torrent site.

i do have experience in coding most of my modification on my tracker are made by myself. also scripts in my tracker are made by myself. ok i was wrong about not putting hand in my pocket. the first month i did yes to get server, since then members poured in also donations did too. iv ran trackres for over a year but this 1 only 5months AND i know ALOT of GOOD coders believe me but i dont get all there hepl i get there advice on hows best to do things. i topped over 6000 members middle of last year and give it all up due to family issues. started from scratch cpl months ago. ok i setup this myself coded alot myself.. all i have to say now is AL GO FUCK YOURSLEFS. and aruge about my site amongst yourselves. i came to show peeps my site and work iv done. END OF MY CONVO WITH YOU GUYS!!! PEACE OUT oh and let me see your tracker m8.. i fogot you dont know how to set 1 up do you....

Why are you spamming your site in multiple sections on the board and giving various URLs for the same site?

ehh your site has many security issues with it you might want to patch them up, before your site is defaced/taken down :ermm::unsure:

Are you the same deano that was involved in some inter-site drama between a couple now dead torrent sites about a year ago? I know you're "done with this convo" but I am curious if you are the same guy I am thinking of, cuz you really remind of him.....

daffy
01-24-2009, 08:07 PM
in how do you see secuurity issues, i am using a source code which is hignly secured.. not like ts or tbdev you seee out there. there have been many attacks using sql injections and other ways which have been tested purposly for sercurity issues, but if you can find me a whole i will patch it.

iv always been known as daffy.. iv only had 1 issue thru torrenting and that was to do with my own site before christmas. iv never gotten bad name from anywhere, infcant if you check around the scene most will know me.

The security issue is hosting in the USA, obviously.

That shit is Busch league.

01-24-2009, 08:20 PM
lmao oh that, i thought you meant with my code itself asi know its secure... im looking into changing servers but like i said earlier nobody server is safe no matter where. i know plenty of sites hosted in us have been long time and never had problem, also i know peeps who have butt anyone can get shudown no matter where your server sits. e.g, not mentioning names but a good m8 of mine has just taked down a server which hosts alot of sites not just torrenting. ddos attacks and botnets of hes are out there. within 15 mins attacking the site, poof, there no longer online. im sat watching the site as we speak, there on 1 minute but with mass overload then the next there gone again.. im thinking of changing locations anyway but nothing is safe.

The trouble is that if you don't want honesty then you shouldn't post here. The fact that you are hosted in one of the worst possible locations does nothing to attract new members...ffs most of the members here could have told you the US is a no-no for trackers. Seems more like a Mickey Mouse tracker than daffy
