Does anyone know where I can find the best settting for optimal performance for u-torrent the latest stable build? I tried different websites and had no luck! I have a 15 megabits conection and I want it configured for max speed and performance!

Thanks

Look here under the utorrent section. http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-seedbox-discussion-154/t-naqs-complete-setup-guide-linux-seedboxes-fedora-corecentosdebianubuntu-281331/?&highlight=NAQS+guide

Even after you do this your performance probably wont be that much better. There's only so much you can get out of what you've got.

agreed, also alot of trackers have guides on how to set up utorrents properly. So maybe look in their tutorial forums.

You can take a look at their tutorials too. http://fileshare(f)reak.com/tutorials/linux-utorrent-webui-without-vncserver/ (http://**************%28.%29com/tutorials/linux-utorrent-webui-without-vncserver/) remove the parentheses.

he is not talking about seedboxing, but about a home user's utorrent.
tweak windows with www.lvllord.de (http://www.lvllord.de) to 10.000 connections.
then go to utorrent preferences - advanced - net.max_halfopen and switch to 1000
then in bandwidth preferences, use:
global max connections - 800
max per torrent connections 50 (assuming a max of 16 heavy load simultaneous torrents)
upload sockets per torrent - 10

that should do it.

note: these settings are not random, and have an explanation to the correlative values.
these settings are for 16 simultaneous heavy load torrents, but much more can run simultaneously if they are with few peers. (music torrents, etc etc)

edit: this assuming a windowsXP/2000/2003 install. If under Vista, you must use another crack for the IP stack.

Where in utorrent says system restore?

Now when a torrent ends, it desapairs from utorrent, I find it on the downloads, but I can't seed, it is not there any more, I screwed up something.

if you just did what i said, it has no connection at all with your problem. You must have been screwing around something else.
All those items you had to change are 100% safe. try to remember what else were you playing with, reboot pc, etc.

I didn't touch anything else, oh my god and when I went to utorrent forums nothing helped, speeds are good now, but the torrents desapair once downloaded.
Maybe I have to reboot. Thank you guys.

check carefully your options, maybe you ticked something you shouldn't have. it happens.

Cabalo....are those settings good for ALL types of connections...meanin all speeds...???

Cabalo

yes, these are connections based settings, made to not bottleneck your navigation and yet get the optimal packets from the tracker.
