Im running a 233 laptop, 4gb hard disk and 64 ram which operating system would be better 98 or 2000?

i would say 98 cuz window 2000 will probably leave ur laptop begging for mercy

Have you checked if you even can get drivers for 2000. Im just asking because my brother had a similar old laptop and the only OS they supported was 98

That configuration is the absolute minimum required for Win2k, performance would be terrible, go for windows 98.

No, I meant 233MHz with 64kram is minimum config.

98 is not very safe.. dont use it for your banking matters or buisness.
Microsoft doesnt fix the newly discovered holes in 98.. and alot of people still use it.

For windows 98

486DX4-100MHz or higher RAM 32 MB

for windows 2000

Pentium II 300 or higher and at least 128 MB of RAM

Go with 98

ive actually heard of someone running xp with 64mb of ram. go figure.
