Copy the CD using Windows media Palyer. The convert these .wma files to mp3 by opening them in nero wave editor and saving them as mp3s... well omg... ur done... how incredibly nice

ripping to wma then converting to mp3 decreases quality when compared to a straight mp3 rip

I wasn't aware that kazaa lite and Nero were bundled. Or did you just not bother to read the title of this forum section before posting here?

the original way shown of ripping cd's here is NOT a good idea
rip cd's straight to mp3, with dbpoweramp (http://www.dbpoweramp.com) and you'll end up with better quality files than by ripping to wma then converting

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor, because it's the best MP3-ripper from CD-DA sources that I know of that allows me to rip 320Kbps MP3s.

the difference between this complicated procedure and the 3 click dbpoweramp procedure in the quality of the final files is so low as to be negligible in the real world...

It's not complicated at all. Sure, it takes twenty minutes to first set up, and the copying and ripping process takes slightly longer, but when i hear the quality of most mp3's on Fast Track i wish everyone was using it. Once it is set up it's exactly the same as any other ripper, but better.

Like Sparsely i have been using version 0.95 with no problems.

the way i see it, there's no point using such a "round the way" procedure for no improved result

Burn them to cd and listen to them with good hifi equipment, and you will notice a difference. There is no difference, between mp3's ripped using eac and lame, from the original cd.

Hey 3G. I must say i'm inpressed with this ripper. To be honest i thought dbpoweramp was going to be some ui with flashing lights  but it's really good. I think the name makes it sound a bit gimicky and that's what put me off. Oh well you live and learn.

I think from now on i'll use db, set at alt preset standard for most ripping, but still use EAC for bashed cds when it's error correction is very good.

So noob. I thank you again. Is there anything else you can do for me, i wonder...........

Seriously though :D :D :D

BTW. I had to type this out twice having just discovered, that if you hold down shift and scroll your mouse wheel, it moves you back and forward through your browsing history. Pretty cool actually. Never knew that

What you talking about you freak? You called me a noob, so i told you to get a life.

With over 4000 posts in less than 4 months, it's obvious you have no life. Not really sure on what evidence you base calling me a noob though. Sure, someone recommended an mp3 ripper to me - but that doesn't makes me a noob!

Not really sure how you expected me to react?

Good Idea! bammargera

But Nero charges you, to do that, you can do it for free, I think 30 times, after that you have to buy it that option from them.

It uses LAME encoding and the results rae amazing. I have tons of tracks which I listen to on a regular from years ago, and there is no loss of quality. Try it out, you may like it.
