.avs scripting

can anyone help me with some "home made" .avs scripts ?
i would like the following ...
scripts that can help me sub videos
scripts that can help me encode them (HQ HD Bluray)
scripts that can help write on the video in parts of the screen

i'm a newbie in avs scripting :| and if i could see some scripts examples i could learn a lot faster :|
