My response: Jethro Tull - A Passion Play 44:58

Can anyone top that?

Can't top that unless you count classical.

Pink Floyd's Echoes comes in at about 23 minutes, I think. Time flies, though.

Good pick on the Floyd. Echoes is a great song.

P.S. Classical is ok, as long as all the movements are part of the same song. "concept albums" don't count.

Any rap or r&b album...they go for about an hour and yeah it seems like a continuous song cause it all sounds the same...*IM JOKING*...

But yeah the jethro tull - a passion to play has to be the longest i actually sat through...its what happens when you live with musicians :)

It's actually refreshing to see rap do long play. There's nothing like a good, long rap (lyrically speaking...I couldn't care less how low the bass goes).

Can anyone top that?

xemi

I like Jarre, but sometimes he can be tough to sit through. I would rather see his live performance. I hear he puts on one hell of a show...I'm going to have to get that Cousteau song. You've sparked my curiosity.

I had this album when I was in Germany.

just thought i should add here i checked a kaz version of 'images' and its (the one i found anyways) full of duds

heres what should be on it

http://www.chinkii.com/uploads/album/guys/JMJimagesBACK.jpg

(wouldnt want anyone to have been put off with the duds)

and i challenge anyone to come up with a better way of spending 3.5 mins than listening to 'globetrotter'

(musically ;))

The longest song I know of off the top of my head is Initial D - Non Stop Megamix, at 1 hour 12min 14sec.
The longest song ever recorded, if my memory serves me correctly, is a Native American tune of some sort...

They probably play it on Thanksgiving...the story happened on Thanksgiving.
And the original version is 18:37, far short of 45.
