Hi!

I have made a site that indexes all torrents from some chosen private trackers, and I want you to try it out. If you like it I probably gonna include more trackers.

torify.eu (http://torify.eu)

Cheers!

this can possibly be a scam to steal your tracker usernames/passwords.

Make sure you register with different username/password than you use for other trackers!

be wary everyone.

this is most likely a scam.
Sorry, but it isn't.

On the registration screen, it acts for username, password, and email.
Yes, you need to be signed in to view the torrents.

It also asks for what trackers you've got an account at.
Yes of course, because its only show you the torrents where you got an account. You need to be logged in to the trackers on your browser to download the torrents.

the guy who runs this most likely wants to try and get your account at other trackers.
No, I don't. Just choose a different account name?

EDIT: After registering and logging in, I get redirected to the same blank homepage. Red Flags for this.
Hm, thats wired. I'm thankful if you show me a print screen.

It's because they got the best seeded torrents. I only show 100 torrents.

there is a chance it's not a scam, of course. but why do you require people's emails and a list of trackers they belong to?

in any case, hopefully everyone is smart enough to use unique passwords/names for sites like this. i'll edit my original post with that information, since hopefully it'll warn people.

I just use http://**************.com/2009/01/16/the-private-tracker-metasearch-becomes-a-reality/

I have already added ~40 trackers and can always add a new one in a few minutes.

edit: Oh banned url...

I'll remove the email requirement for now.

Why I want you to choose the trackers where you got an account is because when you search for a torrent, only torrents from those trackers will show.

The passwords are well hashed in the database.

people in general are shady which is why you should use different passwords for ALL accounts and especially your email account. im not saying this is a scam, just in general if you sign up at any sites you might want to stay at make sure you use a very strong password that you dont use anywhere else.

You may want to change the purple and white rounded theme. Those contrasting colours don't look too great and hurt the eyes. But overall it's a good idea and hopefully you can add more specialised trackers later on, not just the ordinary ones. You may also want to add sortable columns and make the search faster somehow. This is a good read about search speed and how it affects user satisfaction: http://glinden.blogspot.com/2006/11/marissa-mayer-at-web-20.html

Looks good, for future improvement I'd love to see support for more trackers to broaden the horizon :)
