Best Software for Data Encryption?

What would be the best software for the data encryption?

Has anyone tried TrueCrypt or Folder Lock?
I'm currently using TrueCrypt, but I don't exactly know how much I can trust them.
It's said that they have lots of bugs renaming or even deleting the data.
