This would depend on the era that you grew up in, or the music you grew up with.

I love my 90's music. At least up to 98-99, boy bands killed it.

Edit: But the Beatles might make the 60's better.

I think anyone could make a case for any of the decades except for 00's. This decade has been total shite compared to the others. Personally, I'd say the 70's. That's when music reached its zenith, and it's been an accelerating decline ever since.

I'll have to pick the 90's. My absolute favorite artists are from then & I grew up in it.

Funkin'
03-10-2009, 05:51 AM
I can't pick just one. I grew up in the last 80's-90's. So I love all that early 90's metal(Pantera, Slayer, Alice in Chains, etc) an grunge(Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc). So that era will always hold a place for me. But then there was all that kick ass music that came out of the 60's and 70's. Especially all that funk.

So it's pretty much a throw between the 60's, 70's, and 90's for me.

90's for me hands down, some many different styles of music were great then. Decade when rap and hiphop was awesome, not like this solja boy crap u get now. Also great rock music such as nirvana radiohead etc. Pop music was also great, and u cant beat a bit of old school 90's dance music.

Definitly the late 60's and early 70's when rock music was at it's pinnacle. So many amazing bands during that time period.
Rock in the 90's was also pretty unique and innovative.

Yeah I like the old school rap, this new stuff ain't shit, Eminem is good and so is 50, but in musical terms, the 70's was by and away the best. You can make a case for the 50's though.

70's EASY. Zeppelin, Floyd, Rush, Van Halen, Aerosmith, The Who, The Eagles, Journey, AC/DC, Bob Seager, and on and on adnausium. I do like some of the 60's stuff too like Jimi Hendrix, and one 80's guy of note is Stevie Ray Vaughan (? spelling ?).

I was born in the 90s, so most of the songs out there were recorded before I was even born. I listen to a lot of songs from the 90s and the 00s, but I like some songs from every decade. I just recently discovered a classic rock radio station in my area and the cool thing about it is that the songs are all new to me. So, I'm discovering all these cool songs from bands that were once very popular, but I've never even heard of them until now. It's great.
