I have a 35GB harddrive Seedbox. Can I delete stuff off of it to free up space or am I stuck and can only download 35GB of data?

yes, Or you can delete them using vnc viewer or using command

if you start removing files you may have alot of problems with your server so its not worth it for the little space you may gain + if you are on a shared box and i take it you are? the files that are on there are needed as they are not going to stick files on there you dont need and fill up the HD even more

we all were in the beginning :)

the reason i said via ftp is because VNC (well to my seedbox) is pretty laggy...

if you start removing files you may have alot of problems with your server so its not worth it for the little space you may gain + if you are on a shared box and i take it you are? the files that are on there are all needed

I'm on a dedicated box no sharing. I didn't set up my FTP yet but want to delete files I downloaded to free up some space. WHy would I run into a problem deleting my own files I downloaded?

from your first post it sounded like you wanted to remove files other then the ones you downloaded so yea course you can remove files you have downloaded to free up space ;)

It is safe to delete the files you have already download. I think peugeottech means system files which you shouldn't delete.

Which would be a pretty lame hosting-party is you were to able to delete system-files from a shared server..:shutup:
