Hey guys, I'm very happy http://forum.karagarga.net/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif because the peruvian film "La Teta Asustada" has won the Golden Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival
This is the second feature film of the Barcelona-based Peruvian director, Claudia Llosa.

The Spanish-Peruvian co-production centres on a young woman, Fausta, (Magaly Solier), who suffers from a strange condition called teta asustada (“frightened breast”), which is carried in the breast milk of women who were raped during the struggle against terrorist groups in Peru.

This award will definitely help peruvian films to be known in the world. I can't wait to see this great film which will be launched on 5th March here in Peru.

In fact there are lots of good peruvian movies including "No se lo Digas a Nadie", "La mujer de mi hermano", "La ciudad y los Perros", "Caidos del Cielo", "Juliana". Francisco Jose Lombardi is perhaps the most important Peruvian filmmaker of the recent years, has made most of his films from adaptations of important Peruvian novels. Peru also produced the first animated 3-D film in Latin America, "Piratas en el Callao".
