Will server 2003 Web Edition recognize all 4GB of RAM on a
dedicated seedbox? I've noticed several places including Hosting-IE
offer free Server 2003 Web edition on their dedicated servers including
the ones with 4GB to 8GB of RAM? Is the RAM wasted? I always
thought Server 2003 Web Edition could only handle 2GB of RAM.

Thanks,

Pieeyed

Holy ****, mate... You could've found it faster than typing your message:

wrong link.
@ op, yes, the web edition only goes to 2Gb, it's defined by MS. You'll need the standard edition.

have a look of the features here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc758523.aspx

@Cabalo, well, not entirely the wrong link. Like op said, peeps like hosting-ie also offer 2008-editions of Web thus supporting 4GB.

@Op; if you tried pre-configuring a server @ hosting-ie, you should've noticed that in the OS-choice explicitly state "2003 Web Edition - 2GB support" or "2008 Web Edition - 4GB support".

Is that so? Because hosting-ie lists Server2008 on their site buy Keyweb certainly doesn't.
