Was Friday the 13th series about an antique shop with weird artifects that had been cursed or something. And owners of the shop had to retrieve them from all over the World and keep them safely locked Up so people don't get killed?

yes it was. main characters are.
jack marshak(the old guy)
ryan dallione(the nephew)
Micki foster(the neice)
it about an antiques shop and cursed objects. some good episodes in it. One of my favourites is the one with a scarecrow who kills whoever in a photo that pinned to him. Did 28 episodes i believe

Or the one where this guy had to kill someone at midnight and then the whole world would stop for an hour while he did whatever he wanted to.

Can't remember that great episode where some guy got shredded in a wood shredder. Its hard to find good stuff like that on tv anymore  . j/k. I mostly watched the show because I liked that red-haired babe. :)

i thought it was an alright series, but it was definitely a poor idea to call it "friday the 13th" as it had no connection at all to the films.

in contrast, there was also a tv series directly spun off from "a nightmare on elm street" and a tv pilot spun off from alfred hitchcock's "psycho." they both sucked. not surprising, tho, since horror sequels usually are shit... so television spin-offs aren't excused from that rule.

the "bates motel" pilot was just mindboggling in its lameness. bud cort in the lead role?!?! he was good in harold & maude, but casting him in this was ridiculous. well, actually his character was ridiculous. it was "psycho" without norman bates. "psycho" without a psycho. sorta like a "terminator" show without any terminators. pointless. "friday the 13th: the series" was frickin' brilliant in comparison. :P

it like when they did the war of the worlds series. it did not seem like it had any real connection with the film, which is a sci fi classic

September 22: FRIDAY THE 13TH DVD/TV series news

Diabolical Dominion reports that this past weekend at LA’s ManiaFest, a representative from Paramount confirmed that a DVD boxed set of the studio’s eight FRIDAY THE 13TH movies is indeed in the works. While he had no details to report, he made a pitch to the fest attendees to get in touch if they had any “lost” footage, suggesting that Paramount is working to release uncut versions of the movies. He was followed on stage by FINAL CHAPTER director Joseph Zito, who confirmed that the trimmed footage from his FRIDAY entry does still exist and that a restoration can be done.

In addition, FRIDAY creator Sean S. Cunningham revealed that another TV series bearing the franchise’s name is in the works, and suggested that (unlike the supernaturally oriented show that previously bore the title) it would be directly derived from the features and center on Camp Crystal Lake teens. Personally, we think a FRIDAY series in which Jason is brought in to knock off the casts of just-cancelled other shows would be a fun idea; in any case, we’ll keep you posted on any new developments.

just found this horror fanatic...........looks like more fri 13 to come :D

Actually it did have to do with the movie (the aliens).
Sort of off topic but does anyone remember Psycho 4 and The Omen 4?

what was the point of pyscho 4? 2 was okay, 3 a waste of time, and as for the original, it a classic. as for the omen 4 one, wasn't that the one with the girl? On comments of more friday the 13th films, or series, keep them coming, jason rules :D . It would have been so cool if he had appeared in the series somehow.
