That app disables or uninstalls. As for wmp I dont know.

Also looking for a Dummies guide to completely removing media player 9 - i no longer want this piece of crap on my xp home setup.
Anyone help ot provide a link ?
But it must be a complete removal (registry etc.) :unsure:

I don't think you can actually completely remove WMP, same for Windows Mess....
though there are ways to disable mess (gpedit.msc, etc.)

i'm a little suspicious of non-freeware - has anyone used this before?

there are several triggers that initiate messenger, msnmessenger or msmsg.exe. the only and ONE way i know of is the combination of these two sites (and type the file name with ext. in their search and they'll show u how)

i used xplite The most interesting features are only available in the pro version, waiting for the crack now ;)
