There are so many war movies old and new here are just some of my favourites
Saving Private Ryan
Kelly's Heroes
Dirty Dozen
O'ryans Express
The Great Escape
Black Hawk Down
Guns Of Navarone
There are many more great war movies let the rest choose their fav's.
turbo wants "newer weapons and shit", so it isn't exactly the same
"Black Hawk Down" is fairly recent, or you could go with Starship Troopers if you like sci-fi.

Search for it, dig it up, post in it and join it. But theres no sense in making the same topic over and over again.

Platoon would have to be my favorite war movie, in the basic war movie sense. Other good recent ones are Black Hawk Down and Enemy at the Gates.

Enemy at the Gates is OK, but Cockney-Russians and American-Germans?? The actors didnt even try to get the accents right.
