well adster your behind a router ? Do you have set all settings set right?

check check double check before complaining... it ain't soulseek cause otherwise all would have it and i can assure you that ain't the case... so it's your settings or your isp...

But i would start checking your firewall settings or router settings 1st!

3rd gen noob read what i said to adster.. ;)

@jetje, it's not a firewall problem, it's the actual program being unstable on my comp... :(

Maybe you are downloading from slow users? Or were you referring to your own upload speed?

Adster

this is happenign to every user im downloading off

the stange thing is my uploads are goin gfine there using up my availble upload bandwith

I just did a test now without ss on and torrent goes at 23k

ruyles out the chance of my isp fault

Well Ad, I'm no expert, but its sounds like you're downloading from modem users. Nothing sucks worse than paying $50/month for a broadband connection, then finding a user on 56k who has the files. B)

that could be because they use different ports... check the soulseek faq, there may be a solution... Still think you should check the settings of your pc ad... if it was a soulseek problem we all would suffer that, and you know that isn't so...!

Do you have a software firewall like Norton Internet security... or the byuild in XP firewall?

that's mentioned in the ss faq.. is Luca around on ss, he can help you but CC, Guitar and some others will know that as well i guess... when i adjusted that a few months ago i could see all, and a lot of stuff just worked a lot smoother..

Did you accidentally adjust the max download speed, on the transfer screen? I have done that before when trying to open and close slots. Just a thought.

Can you say Spammer? :spam: I know you collect posts like baseball cards, but could you try the pretty Edit button sometime?

Adster

true the reason I dont use the edit button alot is becaseu the thread doesn't get bumped for a start also it gets ppls attention more some ppl don't take notice of the edit after they have read it the first time

I could speak with Jetje about getting all your threads pinned as stickys. That should keep 'em on top. :o :)
