Well, I knew he was one of the two finalists, and I had a feeling he was the one. And I knew that the decision was coming REAL soon. And he's it....This press release in today from Warner Brothers announcing that Christian Bale will be the next Batman. Oh yeah, congrats to all you Bat fan-boys, this is what you wanted: :D

They should go with the Batman of the Future kind of thing. I thought the cartoon series was pretty cool. I don't htink it would hurt making it a hollywood production. :D

Looking up info on this, the story is suppose to go back to his young days. I think Christian Bale is an excellent choice,(shame jake glydenhall(sp?) didn't get it) American Physco and Tears of The Sun are two must see movies if you have not seen them before.

yea, but the cartoon series would be really hard to make in hollywood. unless they used all matrix like special effects editors, it would be really hard to make with just a camera

yes they have to make sure it maybe like the first one. that one is more like the batman for me. They have yet to replace michael keaton really, but let hope christian bale does a good job of it and uit not like batman and robin or we will all be disappointed because that one was the worst.

Yes, yes, yes, I was just about to say that Micheal Keaton was the best batman all the rest sucked he had just that serious face all the time. But now that I think of it so does christian but I don't think his expression will look right i the costume, I will just have to see him in it.

This film is gonna be great, mainly because of Christian Bale. He was good in American Psycho so hopefully he won't let me down in this one.

The first batman was the best ever, the one with michael keaton and jack nicholson in it. Basically the rest was crap. I like the first part where you see batman 'flying' past the 2 burglars mysteriously then bham! they get owned. Batman Returns wasn't too bad either, every other batman was crap, esp B&R lol, forever was pretty shit too.

its not being directed by Tim Burton so dont expect anything as good as the first.

but it is being directed Christopher Nolan man who did Memento so it could be worth watching.

Well that way they do have a larger audience, which means more bucks in their pockets.

Basicaly that is the only reason they try to keep these superhero movies open for all ages and don't try to limit them for mature audiences.

What about this "Gimme your gun, boom" It went something like that when batman took the ballons I haven't seen this movie since I was about 7 or something.

"he...he took my balloons...MY BALLOONS!"

I loved jim carreys performance as the riddler in Batman forever, but only when as the riddler, not edward nigma, comic book villans are supposed to be over the top and ridiculous.

The original was so dark it was perfect, forever had more jokes and was slightly more family orientated, but still captured some darkness (and a less 1950s feel), and managed to do a convincing job of batman in a modern world, with the whole kevlar body armour (not to mention two face, Tommy lee jones was brilliant), and the rest of the batman movies were just crap in my opinion

I also liked the way he used his cape in the first, it seemed to have some sort of structure in it, so he could spread it like wings, which not only made him seem less human but also gave it a purpose rather than a fashion accesory

Methinks im going to watch the original again
