The program is simple and easy to use, just select your DVD drive, the output directory and press a button. DVD Master Backup will automatically extract the VOB files and convert everything into DIVX (.avi) format using mpeg2avi. sharedholder's recommendation is really automating the process of ripping a DVD-V and then converting it to MPEG-4. First, I would rip using DVD Decrypter, which I prefer more than SmartRipper and then convert to MPEG-4 DivX (AVI) via FlasK-MPEG.
