Yes, U can that is the whole purpose but it doesn't work in all players there is a compatibility list on kvcd.org/portal look there and if yours isn't listed then just download one on suprnova.org and see.

Gre1, I used one of those fancy templates that let me fit an SVCD on one disc, and it played in my DVD player, but it wasn't in the right proportion for the TV and it blinked in and out. I'm saying that VCDs have certain specifications and bitrates, you know, and if they're not standard the picture wont' be right. That's what I meant...so I'm sure it will PLAY, but it won't really be watchable.

I guess if a person uses his PC to watch movies, then this template would be a good deal.

They are all watchable just not with some DVD players and the templates are just made to fit the movie on one disc. If u want to watch it on cd just get PowerDVD and watch.

If u change to the standard resolution it still doesn't make a difference on most players if it can't play it, it can't play it I think it's the codecs though. Also to Alculard they don't have to be standard it just your DVD player cause mine plays them perfectly it also matters sometimes who does them.

my bad, but most play at least 1 or 2 from that test disk
then the bitrate can be lowerd for more or uped for better quailty
bitrate = quailty

Kvcd doesn't use bitrate either it uses CQ are u sure u even looked at the guides.

More CQ=better quality but = bigger filesize as well.
