fuck, i hope EU won't go signing such shit.
here at europe, besides Sarkozy, we're pretty fond of our privacy, and such laws would never pass the parliament.

If only the American voters were as knowledgeable as you. :dabs:

He wants complete socialism and is apparently stopping at nothing to get there.

That sort of thing is happening here and there right now.

It's what you get when you've got technology-nubs legislating about stuff, whilst listening to lobbyists, and stupid stuff like that, without really understanding or considering the consequences.

I expect it'd happened sooner or later, no matter which government were currently running the US.

It's cos old people and luddites still have a say about stuff they don't get and are a bit afraid of.

I wonder if using software to encrypt a p2p shared folder and any other folder with video and audio ect would keep them from being able to access those folders with the types of scans that they would be using

Obama is doing the same thing that Bush did with warrentless wiretaps ect, makes me think of deep empty pockets with no regard of peoples rights

He's selling peoples rights to the highest bidder

What Obama and Bush do is if they don't get their way then they try to accuse people of things and say that people should not have a problem with what they are doing if they have nothing to hide, but that isn't the issue, the issue is that Bush and Obama can't handle their own affairs, so why should they be trusted to handle our affairs

Got firewall?

Skiz
03-28-2009, 03:52 PM
Either that, or someone will just make a nifty little app that disconnects you from the internets when your screensaver kicks on or something. That way it at least minimizes the chance of some random scan hitting your PC.

If they instituted this law, they'll just be shoveling shit against the tide tho'. It'd be like the 'War Against Drugs'. There are 320+ million that live in the USA and a large number have at least some sort of illegal content on their computers.

Most routers (if not all) have a NAT firewall built in.

He called me all the cunts of the day one time. Went absolutely radio rental.

Actually he went totally insane when he started hanging around Rikk's place and posting pictures of his cawk on the internet.

True but I wasn't that time.

I know because I choose when I'm going to be a cunt and towards whom.

Gem's watching the game isn't he, with a wee beer and he's told you to go and play with your imaginary pals on the internets.

Fair point. I loved my wee Ka, but it's not great if you want to take more than 1 passenger and a bag of groceries.

Exactly and the two doors can be a pain when the boys are as tall as me. With this there's plenty room for 4 full sized people. It's also quality, with air conditioning, Sony radio / cd and stuff that other people apparently give a fuck about.

I've still got the wee Clio, it does me fine.

Gem is looking at getting a motorbike. At the moment he takes the bus or train into Glasgow but it's a bit of a pain because it takes ages to go down the A80/M80, and the turn off at the Royal is even worse. Train is not very convenient because the train station is a fair bit away from our house so he has to get on a bus first to get there.

We got a letter from our MSP though, telling us they are looking into creating a trainstop in Abronhill. Give it a year or 5 I guess.

I think plans like that are probably going to be put on hold given the current economic climate.
