View Full Version : Gta 3 & Vc Copies

A buddy of mine has the actual GTA 3 and we've been unable to get a working copy. I'm curious as to whether its possible to get this game to copy over to a CD and work properly or MUST a patch be used.

I was looking at downloading VC, but I'm like to know before I start downloading if I'm going to have the same problem as with GTA 3...

If there is a way to do a copy, please let me know how to do it...

You will require CloneCD 4.2.0.2 (the last release) from here (http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?category=software&id=13627#comment140595).

I have CD Clone.

The Copy of the Play disc didn't work. GTA 3 says to insert the valid game disc.
Is there a particular way to make it work?

If u have the original Game then there should be no problem with just insert play disc and start it up.

When I say a working copy. I mean a copy of the game itself.

He has the game, store purchased.

I would like a copy of the game. But apparently this will only be able to work with a No CD Patch.

clone cd and blindwrite should copy the copy pretecion
but if they don't just get the nocd patch from
gamecopyworld.com or megagames.com

Great Link, but the problem is that when I try to download the trial version of Alcohol 120% and then crack it, it says the trial has already expired. I'll look for a copy of it on Bit Torrent & E-mule...

i'm not sure about blindwrite images (if there is such a format...), but Nero can burn CloneCD images. you just have to use the IMG file rather than the CCD file... but you need to figure out how to select the proper burning options for the image file, to burn a working disc. you may end up making a couple of coasters before it's done, so you might wanna use CD-RWs just so you don't waste the discs.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I already got the latest version of Alcohol 120 off of Suprnova.org

One more question...

I'm downloading a version of GTA VC and want to be sure I won't have to use the crack for it. Using Alcohol 120, how could I make sure that I don't have to use the crack. ( I do have Clone CD & Nero as well, both are up to date).

you can't
in fack most all games have the crack with it
so don't worrie, thats how it works
rarely you might get a ccd file (clone cd)

Ah Bloody Hell... I figured as much.
Why isn't this possible? Shouldn't Clone CD or Alcohol 120 allow the ripping of a perfect copy. That's just sucky. Oh well. Thanks for the info.
