System Restores Itself

Ok tonight, my system restored a old backup up of the system registry, it did it 2 times in a row, after i got the video card drivers reinstalled and then it didnt happen again. could there be a conflict between video card and system registry?

i have a amd 800 with a gf4 ti4200 and windows 98se.

You'll need to provide more info.

You installed the latest drivers for your VGA?
Did you update directx?
Did your system crash?
What OS?
