I've always wondered, where do I find there Trapdoor Releases? I never see them on nzbmatrix ect...

Sites such as nzbmatrix and newzbin are primarily human driven, and generally simply skip these postings, for whatever reason.

Anyone who does header filtering ('old school' usenet, I do so on some 15-20 groups typically, of which a.b.dvd9 where these are posted is one of them) will quickly find them, or uses raw filter engines (I typically use Binsearch) will also find them virtually instantly.

The number of good postings one finds by using these 'old, outdated' techniques is sometimes very surprising. Goes to show how too much reliance on 'newfangled' indexing sites can be a dead end.

But, 'just fer fun' I ran a couple of recent posting titles through nzbmatrix and had no problem finding the listings, complete with the pw already culled out, so.... a lot better than newzbin. So looks good to me as far as that small 'sample' is.

NewzBin has a raw usenet index too you know, one thats far superior to Binsearch and other sites ;)

Never seen any... but then again, haven't looked (generally don't skim the over-porn'ed PAL groups either).

There have been a couple postings here and there (pw'ed) but very few and far between; I think the last that caught my attention was the fairly recent 'Brideshead Revisited' 25th Annv. re-issue of the classic BBC series...(NTSC), along with pw screw-ups of at least two of the four discs. Luckily, the poster realized their mistake a few days later and posted correct ones on Newzbin.

Anyway, if they had ever done so in the groups I monitor headers on, or they had been 'vacuumed up' by the major indexing sites, I'd have remembered. But zip. I don't think I've seen very much in the way of PAL dvd9's for that matter...

oooppppssss

Well, a bunch of other sites logged it just fine, but I must have slipped up. But it there it is, some 40 days ago or so.

I think that someone in the a.b.dvd.criterion newsgroup also 're-logged' it; you should be able to get the nfo/nzb easily on any of the logging sites (I'm looking right at it on NZBMatrix.com).

nfo/nzb title is 'Missing.Criterion'
