Demonoid sometimes require an invite, but it is by far the best, easy to access, tracker for music. In fact I tend to use it more than What or Waffles.

Besides that, warez forums are very excellent for music. Check out Warez-BB and Funkysouls.

Yes. Puroeurotop100 is also good. It's a site with the Top 100 tracks constantly updated and no need for registration :w00t:

ppl...why are you being soooooooo lame...google has everything...none of these top music trackers are worth getting into..im into what.cd and waffles...at first i thought What.cd is really a "Utopia" , but i should say its archive is not even 1/1000 of what we can find on google... worthless private trackers close the registerations to boost their name as the truth says somethingelse...the truth is private music trackers suck

bigger than the limewire family.. well not really...but its probably the biggest music sharing community around, has both torrents and one click host...they have almost everything and if u r VIP in good standing almost all your requests get filled(i suspect they go as far as buying,if they don't find what u want).

U can also check
http://bt.avistaz.com
a good number of asian ish..plenty of lossless too..
There is tradersden too if it hasn't been mentioned yet

With SoudArea you can also download 0Day Music if you apply for VIP.

They post the list for 0Day music...and then Google is your friends :P

Kinda got the same problem, since stmusic is down most of the time these days :(
As you all say, google is your friend.

Mostly you just find crappy rapidshare links or can't find anything whatsoever since the releases are just released.
And Google doesn't filter all the garbarge :P

Well he didn't explicitly state his preferred bitrate for music. Plus I thought people on slsk preferred 192kbps. Am I just not with the kids these days?

Anyhow, if someone was really serious about quality they'd be looking for private sites. ;)

You can usually find every album that you look for on Soulseek in multiple bitrates(from 128 up to 320) and formats. Anyone who has used this great p2p app should know that.

Same goes for Demonoid. A ton of music is shared on that site in all bitrates and most formats(this is actually my go-to site after the lossless trackers). So these two methods can also be used for people who are "serious about quality".

Stellar
04-14-2009, 08:10 AM
Yeah lots of lossless can even be had on slsk if you know where to look/for whom to look for.
I was just saying that every time I've used it for lossy stuff most of the users seemed to prefer 192kbps.

Agreed on Demonoid. The sheer amount of classical music on there is astounding.

Lol it was an expression ie. In the 'old' days 128 was standard bitrate .

As for private sites you Usenet pwns again!

I've used the resources Of BTJunkie and Demonoid, Pirate Bay to find most of my music files. You may have to view the Torrent information, to find the lossless torrents. But, they're out there. I'm downloading, mostly Ambient and New Age stuff.

In my personal opinion, TPB (http://thepiratebay.org/browse/104/0/7) is probably the biggest source for FLAC torrents.
