i'm using bt ++ and burst. both are slowing down my cable speed from 2.6 megabits per second to like 500 kb/s. is something wrong with my config? i wasn't even dling anything, and my speed droped that much.
and which bt client should i use? i heard of some experimental ones, but which is the best?

Maybe its a router problem.
Of course just if you have one. :D

Try turning your firewall off for a test. Look if that makes any difference.

azurees is the fastest but hogs resources, probley won't matter if you only have 1 torrent open
shadows is the best overall client
don't turn off your firewall just open 6881-6889 ports
really don't need that many
if you only have say 2 torrents max use 6881-6883
but thats whats slowing you down
router will do it also
