I'm having a really strange problem with DC++. When I
search something, DC don't show any results even if I
can see the amount of files found. No problem to download
a filelist :huh:

I bet you're in active mode, open some ports for DC++ and it should be solved. Or simply just switch to passive mode. (Though you can't download from other passive users if you do this.)

Yeah, check the router to see if port 1412 is open and forwarded to your computer. Then make sure the DC++ connection settings is properly configured (file -> settings -> connection settings). Use "firewall with manual port forwarding". Your external IP adress must be typed in the column below. Simply search for "my ip adress" at google if you don't know what it is. TCP/UDP 1412. Passive mode should be avoided.

Port 1412 is the port that should be used with DC++? Because I just used some random port(something in the 50,000's, like I do for bittorrent) and my speeds aren't the greatest.

It's the official port, yes. But you may use any port you like, as long as it's not in use by something else. The download speeds are variable. Try downloading from someone who has no slots in use or a very fast line, like one peer with "BBB" prefix on a "BBB" hub. BBB is a swedish internet service provider which use fiber all the way to their customers.

UPnP is the best thing to use if you have that in your router...

>>> http://fp.mgillespie.plus.com/aboutupnp.htm

and if you don't know how to set up use that:

UPnPTest

DC++ (http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/) is great for music, better than bittorrent imo. as long as you're not looking for complete albums only.
