How many of you have watched this series? What do you think of it. The IMDB rating 9.7 or some crazy shit. I watched the first 4 episodes last night, but Id like your opinions.

Seems like a very good series. I have seen some episodes and I can say that I like it. But I probably need to give it some more time before I can be entirely sure.

The best drug dealer/copper show made in the last century.

True story.

Shows both sides of the issue (the drug peddler's side, and the copper's side).

Essential viewing for the lot of ye.

Well , I am like 8 episodes in and it is probably worthy of its IMDB rating, which I usually dont really agree with those ratings, but its a fucking good show. SDBits has it in really good quality , too bad its not out in HD.

But so far its a recommend.

"The Wire" is one of my alltime favorites. Very few series can reach such perfection. Other ones worth mentioning are: "Oz", "Deadwood", "The Sopranos". The Wire is building up slowly and has many storylines - sometimes it's hard to follow. But there are some memorable characters who make this drama really spicy. My favorite is McNulty and Stringer.

I agree with 100% (rome, dexter and californacation on that list too)

The series starts slow. kinda takes some getting used but once your in, your hooked. The focus on different aspects/perspectives of the game each season is perfect. the writing is 2nd to none and the theme music to each season is classic.
Definitely one of my all time favorite shows....i cant believe they stopped it

+1 for Californication :D

I'll have to check out this show and Rome over the summer. Dexter just isn't the same with lack bewbs. Just seems to drag pointlessly on without em.. stopped watching halfway through ep 2 due to boredom.

"Rome" was epic, I also suspect some potential in "Tudors". "Californication" has passed my highest expectation: 2nd season was even better than the 1st.
Reverting back to our original point of view: I am in S03 now, and very keen to watch the tension building up between the two big bad protagonists: Evan and String...Anticipate some epic clash here...
